4 years ago today

I've honestly been lazy. I have photos from Montana that I am planning on posting at some point in my lifetime. Buuuut I just haven't really had a good chance. I will though.

But really, this post is about today....

4 Years ago today... I met up with a really cute guy that I liked a lot to go to a snowboard video movie premier.

4 Years ago today... I hugged that guy for the first time.

4 Years ago today... I kissed that guy for the first time.

4 Year ago today... I knew that I had found the most amazing guy ever and all I wanted to do was spend every moment with him and we started dating on this day.

On this day, Today... I'm married to the love of my life and get to be with him forever. And tonight we're going to munch some yummy Italian food to celebrate 4 years of being together and happy. It might seem silly to celebrate when we started dating, but I love it. I think of that day as one of the best of my life. When we started dating, there was no one else for either of us. We've been connected at the hip since. I'd almost say it was love at first sight. :)

I can't wait for more adventures, hand in hand, by each others side.

Our anniversary cake and more Torkie photos

So Sunday was our anniversary. We asked the lady who made our cake if she would be able to make us another small one for our anniversary because we didn't save the top. She was happy to.
Well, with all the excitement of getting Torkie and everything we COMPLETELY forgot to go pick up the cake on Sunday.... and Monday.
I felt SO bad. We ended up getting it yesterday and we went to Ryan's parents to share. It was delicious and very cute. Exactly what I wanted. It was mango/lime cake with mango filling.

And now for Torkie photos...

"More photos? You must love me."

He's all legs...

1 year ago today...

1 year ago, Ryan and I were married.
I can't believe how fast it's gone. I've loved every minute of it.
I can't wait for what the future brings and I am so excited I get to spend it with the most perfect guy for me.

Our stay at Salish Lodge and Spa

On Friday June 25th, we went to the Salish Lodge and Spa in Snoqualmie, Washington.
We went there to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary, which is actually July 11th, so this was 2 weeks early.
I found us a really good deal on a 1 night stay, 2 mini massages and breakfast for two. The reason we went early is we had to use it by June 30th. But it really wasn't a big deal to either of us.

We arrived at 4:00pm and checked in. Our room was nicer than the last time we stayed, but slightly smaller. This time we were on the river side and that was great aside from the fact that there was construction on the falls.

We both had appointments for 25min massages right away so we unpacked some of our stuff, changed and went over to the spa. Last time we were there we didn't have the opportunity to visit the spa area. There were two nice soaking pools, a dry sauna and steam room. I only went in the soaking pool while I was waiting for Ryan to get done with his massage. He did check out the steam room though and said it was intense. Both of us enjoyed our massages and I really felt like the lasted longer than 25 min.

After our spa time, we went to dinner at a little restaurant in North Bend called Boxley's. I had been searching online for somewhere good to eat dinner Friday night and this place had great reviews, great menu and good prices. It did not disappoint. The food was great, there was live jazz music playing which was fun and the staff were all really nice. We'll definitely go there again even thought it's all the way in North Bend. I loved it. If you're ever in the area, check it out!

We wandered around the old trains in Snoqualmie for a bit after dinner. There were some really neat trains. It was too early to go back to the hotel. When we were done we headed back and Ryan made us a fire in the fireplace. Even though it's summer, it was totally fun and relaxing. We ended up going to sleep by fire light.

Saturday morning we had breakfast in The Dining Room. Ryan had the Country Breakfast which is something like 4 courses of delicious goodness. He had pastries, oatmeal, fresh fruit and finally eggs, bacon and a biscuit. It was too much food for him even with me helping a little bit. I had the French Toast which wasn't quite as amazing as the waffles we had last time, but still very good. All in all, our breakfast was wonderful. Yum.

As a side note, they asked me to fill out a survey after our stay to rate it. I had a couple things I was annoyed about and mentioned them in the survey. I received an email today from someone at the lodge with apologies and it sounds like we are going to get a complimentary breakfast. Wow. I wasn't even mean, but hey, free amazing food? That's awesome.

Entering our room

Yummy cheese plate that was waiting for us! So fun!

Mini bar area, we didn't eat any of the cool stuff. WAY too expensive.

Being Silly

Lounging

Our View and the annoying construction

These little birds, I think they are swallows, were flying around all over outside. Ryan took the screen off the window to get a better photo and they started flying so close to him they almost hit him.

Ryan took a photo from outside. He said he was trying to be like paparazzi.

Thankful...

I'm so thankful for Ryan. He's my rock and what I hold on to tightly when things get rough(which they seem to be a lot lately). I don't know what I would do or how I would get through the hard stuff in life without him. Plus, he is really cute.

Why I love Ryan (and how I know he loves me).

When I got home today there were surprises on the counter.
I've been craving certain things lately. Animal crackers and Tim's Cascade Style Jalapeno chips. Also, my headlight went out this morning.
So not only did Ryan get me a new headlight, waiting for me when I got home, he also got me animal crackers. And best of all, (and he tried to be sneaky) he got me Jalapeno chips! He hid them in the cupboard though so I would think he hadn't got them. As you can tell, I appreciate the small things.
I sure am lucky to have him.

The best 3 years of my life

Yesterday was our 3 years of being together anniversary. I came home to beautiful roses, our blinds finally up in the bedroom and a new shower curtain and rod. All very exciting.

Then we went out to a nice dinner at Claim Jumpers, which was yummy.

Waiting to be seated.

Right before we are about to leave, Ryan says to me "What's that?". I look around and think he is talking about some guy with a really long beard and a tye dyed shirt. "What's what?" I say. I'm now very confused. Finally, I look down to a little wrapped box. He was so sneaky I totally didn't notice him put it there.
He gave me a beautiful necklace. I LOVE it. Such a sweet suprise.
I'm so lucky to be with such an amazing man. I love him so much. These really have been the best 3 years of my life.

I'm not good at this right now.

I've not been keeping up with this. It's been over a month since I posted and I hate it.
I've taken so many cool pictures but putting them on the computer, re-sizing them and posting them on here seems to be too much work.

Well the wedding is only 10 days away. I'm super excited for it to get here. I'm so over planning it. NEVER want to do that again. I've been all stressed out lately. I hate it. Luckily, I have most of everything done. I just need to make the programs, place cards for the reserved tables, pick up my dress(from downtown, where I dont want to go), make a wedding song playlist for my ipod to play at the wedding.... Just little stuff, but still makes me stressed. On top of that, the weather for the big day looks iffy. Cross your fingers it does NOT RAIN!!!!

Well, we haven't been up to a ton lately. Just working, planning the wedding... Ryan finshed the buggy so we've been wheeling a couple times. yay! Went to a Subie meet in Woodinville on Monday, had some bugers and went on a drive with the other Subies. It was fun. I've been trying to talk Ryan into us getting a doggy for a while now, and I think my chipping away at his resolve is paying off! We might get one in the next 6 months, and I'm VERY excited. I can't wait to adopt a dog and give it a good home. :)
It's likely I wont update this till after the honeymoon. I will try though.

So, here are some pictures from the last month.

Engagement pictures from Ryan's sis in law, Whitney. Love them!

Some pics from wheeling Ryan's buggy!
