Welcome 2010!

How fast has this year gone? Geeze. At this time last year, we were still planning our wedding. Now we've been married almost 6 (glorious) months. This will be our 4th New Years together.

2009 has been a difficult year with the economy starting it out pretty rough for us but has ended better, at least with my job going great. We're crossing our fingers for a great opportunity to come up for Ryan. He's also starting school next Monday to work towards his welding certification which will be a great thing for him to get.

I'm ready for the new year and to leave this one with it's great ups as well as big downs behind us.

Happy New Year everyone!

New winter set up for Subie

I'm sure most people that read this aren't all that excited when I post about my car. Sorry. I can't help it. I love my car.
Ryan traded a truck he was selling for some awesome gold Prodrive P7 wheels last week. I've been wanting gold wheels on my car forever. Since they are 17" wheels, we needed to find some new snow tires. Craigslist came through as usual. Ryan picked up an almost brand new set of Hankook winter studded tires. He pulled out most of the studs, 70 from each tire to be exact.
They look amazing on my car and it's nice to know I'm ready to handle whatever this winter will throw at me.

Thankful...

I'm so thankful for Ryan. He's my rock and what I hold on to tightly when things get rough(which they seem to be a lot lately). I don't know what I would do or how I would get through the hard stuff in life without him. Plus, he is really cute.

Time Warp

We traveled back to the 70's. Took some pictures, snagged a lava lamp. It was good times.

Actually, we went to a late 60's early 70's themed murder mystery party back in October. It was great and we won best costumes which got us the cool lava lamp. It was really fun!

Rest in Peace Uncle Keith Smith

Thank you for giving me such a warm welcome into your family. I'll always remember that.
You're in a better place now but we'll miss you immensely.

Life is short... so treat every day like it might be your last.

Our little friends

It's November and we still have Humming Birds. It's awesome. They are such neat little creatures. I LOVE them. Such tiny little bodies going so fast all the time. We have 2 males and a female that hang around. They are always chasing each other and being silly. I can watch them for hours.
The first five pictures Ryan took last Friday(much better lighting) and the ones after I took on Saturday when it was all grey so the little guy's colors don't shine as much.

28 foot waves? Oh my!

Ok, not really. They weren't nearly as big or scary as the weather people made it sound.
We went to Ocean Shores last weekend to camp(in a rv). It was rainy and windy but really great. The waves weren't all that impressive, but the foam from the waves on the other hand was crazy! I've never seen so much foam from the ocean!

Ryan on what we thought was a stable log.

Same log not looking to stable anymore. Four waves coming in at once.

And Ryan had to bail as the log started rolling. I did NOT like watching him jump in.

Crazy foam.

We had to pull a Prius out that was stuck. High tide was coming in and started pulling it out to sea.

This photo reminds me of Antarctica. Imagine the foam is ice, see?

Birds

Me!

Love.
