Hair and other news from the home front

On September 10 I had my hair cut the shortest it's been in about 8-10 years. My long hair was too much of a hassle and I hated having to fight with it everyday. So I got it cut off. I LOVE it. It's so much easier to brush out and it's way better looking then before. Ryan loves it too which is very important. Crappy phone picture, but it gets the point across. Did I mention I love it?

On to other things... I am hoping we'll finally get all of our wedding pictures this week. We've seen them but dont have the disk yet. Crossing my fingers and getting too hopefull every time I open the mail box.

I made chicken fajitas last week for the first time ever. It was really exciting and they were delicious. I'm trying to change up our eating habits and trying new and interesting things. So far so good. We're going camping this weekend and I think we're going to make fajitas then too. Yum!

This Friday the 25th is my wonderful amazing husband's 25th birthday! A quarter of a century old. It's strange how fast life can go sometimes.

And last but not least.... The getting a dog situation is progressing! Ryan and I have mapped out a plan for fencing in our side/back yard in the next month I hope. He's supposed to borrow his uncles excavator this week and dig out some of the hillside. I've been looking at petfinder.com way too often, but I can't help it. I've seem some really promising looking dog friends. Unfortunately, the ones I've seem probably wont be around by the time our yard is all set up and Ryan finally gives in. Luckily, there are many great dogs at shelters and rescues that need homes. I'm so excited to get a dog friend. I've been wanting a dog in my life for a while now.

I haven't forgotton to post the rest of our honeymoon pictures, but with our new computer my photo software doesn't work. I've been waiting to get our (awesome) new software to get all the rest of the photos done and added. They'll be up eventually.

West Coast Subaru Show 11-August 28-30-Skamania, WA

We went to the West Coast Subaru Show again this year and again it was so much fun. A weekend surrounded by people who all love their cars as much as I do.

I was the only car like mine for the second year in a row. There were over 200 Subarus there!
We left Friday afternoon and drove down with a little group. We we got down there, we staked out a campsite and more of our friends showed up. We had 8 cars in our group.

On our way home, getting mud out of the wheels

We got a new computer!

So we've been looking for a computer for awhile. My old old computer pooped out awhile ago so we switched over to a 5 Y.O.(approx) hand me down computer. It was better then my old old one, but it's been slowly having more problems, doesn't have anywhere near enough memory, is slow, etc.
We have been really torn between a PC and a Apple. We both really liked all the great things we hear about Apples, but for the $$ a PC seemed to give more bang for the buck.
We were almost set on buying a PC, but after a conversation Ryan had with his brother Craig, we had to go look at Apples again.
Which we did last night. We just went to look.........

Famous last words.

Well, we came home with a 24" iMac. It's pretty awesome. But wait, that's not all!

We also got.... an iPod Touch!!! For free! They are so rad! Just like an iPhone pretty much except you don't have to use crappy at&t and you can't take pics, etc. But you can go on the Internet with it and get cool apps.

We also also got a sweet free printer! It's a nice HP Photosmart wireless all in one. We recently got a new printer, so I'm not sure which we are keeping yet. But I guess we're going to have to sell one. (Anyone need a nice printer?)The reason we jumped on it last night is that it was the last day for the free iPod Touch. Which was a $230 value and way to cool to pass up.
So now I've got to learn about the MAC world, which having been a PC girl most of my life is a little daunting. Oh well. I'm excited. This computer will help bring my photography to a new level and make both Ryan's and my life easier. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll be getting Adobe Photoshop CS4, which will be amazing.....

On a side note, I will post up more honeymoon pictures at some point soon. It just takes SO long to go through them all. I'm excited to get our new computer set up so I can get through photos more quickly.
